This series of analogue in cameras 35mm double exposures were made by Maria McSweeney
while she was a resident in the Darkroom in Dublin.

The series examines the recurring motions and patterns that define the north Wexford
shoreline. From the rhythmic ebb and flow of the tides to the annual migration of aquatic
birds and animals, and the gradual erosion of rocks by the sea, the repetition of natural
elements become evident. However, each pattern creates a unique individual impression on
the landscape. Through this series of images, we see how the coastal landscape is a constant
interplay between repetition and individuality, highlighting the beauty of its dynamic and
ever-changing nature
